One of the benefits of being a partner of White Label Communication is we support partners through development. Recently we had a partner come to us and ask to add a new feature to help retain a customer. The client was a fast-paced sales organization that relied upon its salespeople setting local meetings and traveling to the meetings. This often meant the client’s salespeople had to leave the office and go to their next meeting before their current call was over. The partner asked if there was a way build a feature where the client’s sales team could transfer the call from their desk phone to the mobile app without the client’s prospect noticing.
Based on this feature request, we are pleased to introduce a new star code that will move an active call from one device to another device without interrupting the call. The MOVE star code allows a user on an active call to switch the call to a different device without the caller knowing a change has occurred.
The MOVE star code provides an extra option of flexibility. By offering your customers the ability to seamlessly transition calls between devices, you’re equipping them with the tools to stay professional, responsive, and productive.
Here are some additional examples that highlight the flexibility of the MOVE function:
- For a salesperson on the road: Starts a call on their phone with a potential client while driving, then transfers the call to their laptop when they reach their office to access customer information and present details.
- For a customer service representative: Takes a call on their desk phone, then transfers it to their mobile phone when they need to step away from their desk.
- For a team leader: Begins a conference call on their laptop and then transfers to their mobile phone to participate while on the move
