One such scenario involved a partner and one of their customers, a florist. The florist would frequently send pictures of arrangements to prospective clients through SMS/MMS. At the time, SMS/MMS messages were only able to attach up to 2MB. This resulted in a poor experience for the florist and prospective client. The partner asked if there was a way for us to address this need and help the florist.
Based on this feature request, We’re excited to announce an upgrade to our SMS/MMS functionality—you can now attach pictures of up to 30 MB! This is a significant change from the previous 2 MB limit – a limit that most phone cameras far exceed.
How It Works
While mobile carriers still have size limits for MMS attachments, our new automatic resizing tool bridges the gap. When a user attaches a picture up to 30 MB, the system automatically resizes the image during transit to meet carrier requirements—ensuring smooth delivery every time.
